Deaf Ministries International (Uganda)

Founder Pastor David Bulime lost his hearing suddenly at age 26 and not long after he dedicated himself to serve God among the deaf. In these damaged and devastated countries, the deaf are terribly neglected and stigmatised.

At Deaf Ministries International many graduates from various African nations are being educated, equipped and trained to then go out into their own communities to train others to sign and to share the Gospel amongst their fellow deaf. Tax deductible funds are not used for evangelism.

The school is in severe need of rebuilding and lacks basic teaching materials. There is also a great need for mobile phones and computers, which will assist greatly in increasing communication amongst the deaf and giving rise to basic communication on a communal level.

ISAA has partnered with the Ugandan Deaf Ministries by organizing donations of resources, and assists in creating micro-development projects to bring about greater self-sustainability. Laptops, a projector and general scholastic material have been donated to assist with the schools programs and training.

If you would like to volunteer some of your time or be part of a group of trades’ people who could assist in rebuilding the Deaf Ministries School in Kampala, then we look forward to hearing from you. if you would like to support this worthy cause or offer your skills, please contact ISAA.

Ugandan deaf evangelists and church planters reach into RWANDA, KENYA, TANZANIA, BURUNDI, CONGO, AND SUDAN!

Mission, Vision & Objectives

Deaf Ministries International (DMI) seek to spread the Gospel through Missionary work, establish and operate Deaf Christian Churches and related ministries and to train and nurture strong Christian Deaf church leaders, through operating a Deaf Bible Training Centre.

DMI work in partnership with Churches and other faith-based organisations within and outside of Uganda. They seek to empower the Deaf to reach out to their fellow Deaf with the gospel of Jesus Christ and support Missionary work. DMI promote the education of Deaf people through partnerships and sponsorship program for disadvantaged Deaf children and by the establishment of Deaf Education Institutions for vocational training, Primary and Secondary schooling. DMI has established Immanuel Bible Training Centre for the Deaf, the first of its kind in Uganda. The Centre trains Deaf Church Leaders and Ministers from east Africa and beyond. They also have a Sponsorship Program for Deaf children which helps these children access quality education. DMI has land in Mukono and is seeking to raise funds to construct a much needed Primary, Secondary and Vocational Training Centre.

DMI's aim is to raise funds through donations, commercial subscriptions, by lobbying and other income generating activities in order to support the their ongoing work and objectives. If you would like to support any of the DMI ministry activities and help to uplift the standard of living and spiritual needs of the Deaf communities, please email or write to DMI, The Secretary/Administrative Office, PO Box 23873, Kampala, Makerere West, Uganda or contact ISAA.
