Welcome to International Support Aid Australia’s Sponsor a Future Program, and thank you for your commitment to support our work with children and developing communities in Uganda.

With the desire to sponsor a future rather than just provide for the immediate needs of children, International Support Aid Australia’s Sponsor a Future Program supports children in developing communities in Uganda and aims to bring about long term, sustainable development through projects targeted at alleviating poverty and improving their communities’ health, welfare and education.

A major portion of your sponsorship will go towards meeting immediate needs, education and care of your sponsor child, and the balance of the funds are used in development projects, which benefit not only the sponsor child, but also the community as a whole. These projects include income-generation opportunities to encourage self-reliance, water and sanitation projects, a primary health care, community transport inititives, vocational training and improving education opportunities within communities. It is our belief that holistic and sustainable development of communities in which children live, which facilitates empowerment and self-reliance, is the optimal means for securing a safe, secure and productive future for them.

The primary purpose of the Child Sponsorship Program is to improve the welfare, education and health of children today, and provide hope for their tomorrow.

Sponsoring a child allows them a way out of poverty, and into a situation where they can experience lasting change. The monthly sponsorship of the child you select, enables us to provide education, food, accommodation and basic health needs.

Breaking the poverty cycle takes more than providing food for today. Some of the sponsorship funds are used to provide income-generating opportunities.

This means your sponsorships allow families to learn skills that enable them to become self-reliant. This goal of self-reliance is essential for a sustainable community development.

Your monthly gift of $40 will provide a child with all their basic needs and will also give them an opportunity to be educated and look forward to a brighter and more secure future.

Today there is an urgent need to include more children in the CARE4Kids programs, but we need your support!

The vision and aspiration of  ISA (CARE4Kids) UGANDA (ISAU) is to further expand our projects and programs to become, all the more developmental through self-reliant and self-sustainable sponsorship schemes.

The C4K Children’s Homes have been established as homes for at-risk-children that focus on the holistic needs of vulnerable children. Orphans at risk are placed in the homes while children with families are supported to keep families intact and raise their income through micro-development initiatives and through the Child Sponsorship Program. 

There are loving carers who take care and ensure that the physical, spiritual, intellectual and emotional needs of the children are met. The childcare programs have local support from people within those communities, giving their moral support and labour for the success of the projects. Funds are being raised to support the programs and projects, and it is in line and supported by both the Local and Government Authorities. 

The number of orphaned and needy children is overwhelmingly big. The organisation has enough skilled workers and trained staff to currently run the program and with expansion of these programs, workers will be recruited and trained from within the community of Jinja.

C4K provides accommodation and care, with protection and advocacy for orphaned, needy and vulnerable children by advocating for the rights of the children in the communities of their residence. It provides education support for eradication of illiteracy, medical care, clothing and other basic necessities, raising hygiene for better health for the children and their families. C4K also looking into initiative that will provide opportunities and equip under privileged youths with vocational skills in tailoring, computer literacy and carpentry, building construction and the like. 

As part of our ongoing transformational development, one of our goals is to establish children’s rehabilitation and recreational facility where street children can receive counselling and support in a bid to reintegrate them back into their community and assist them with prospects for a safer and brighter future.
