The challenges we meet provide an opportunity for you to be part of what is being accomplished for African orphans and the disadvantaged. You can participate through donations, gifts, prayer commitment, volunteerism or by joining a mission trip.
ISAA seeks to bring awareness and encourage advocacy on behalf of the orphans and poor in Uganda, East Africa.
“Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed.” Ps 82:3
In Uganda millions of children suffer daily from malnutrition, lack of clean water, domestic child labour, preventable diseases and the negative effects of civil war. These are just to name a few of the adversities and barriers that prevent children from reaching their potential. Children and the marginalised suffer the most because they have no voice to speak for themselves.
You can help bring about a solution to this by advocating and speaking up on their behalf.“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute…defend the rights of the poor and needy.” Proverbs 31:8
On a daily basis many children are exposed to a range of risks to their physical and psychological well-being. Such children grow up without appropriate access to adult care, attention or protection, leaving them vulnerable and open to abuse.
How You Can Give:
One of the things that impacts many who visit the work of ISAA in Uganda is how even a small financial gift, can make such a big difference. You can Sponsor a Future (Child Sponsorship Program), or support a Specific Project.
How You Can Go:
You can visit the work in Uganda, and use your skills or experience to build, encourage, teach, or develop relationships. "This has been a life changing experience" is often how team members sum up their mission trip adventure. Teams travel to Uganda several times throughout the year, often motivated by a specific need or opportunity, and are open to anybody who has a heart to make a difference.
